Week 9 blog

This past week we posted or App. evaluation on blackboard. It was very difficult to choose just one app. My most favorite was the UnStealer. If you UN-familiar with it ( I had to say that.) go to the app.  store and check it out. It's a literacy app. that teaches students about the prefix un. I also wanted to tell everyone about an app. Soon Flex that helps with students with aphasia or other speech disorders. The app. contains images that translate into speech and even has a keyboard. We use a similar app. in the hospital I worked at and it's been beneficial for the patients and staff. I've included an image for reference. The apps. we help students learn and enhances the learning experience by keeping them engaged. This relates to standard four of the NCPTS "  Teachers facilitate learning for their students and Teachers integrate and utilize technology in their instruction."

                                               

Also this week I did some outside research for my flipped lesson plan. I needed to have a better understanding of language function. I found that language function is defined as "The verb used in the learning target, such as identify, analyze, summarize, define, conclude, justify and compare. These all relate back to our objectives and Blooms Taxonomy. This Wednesday I'm back in my clinical classroom. Ive planned to stay the entire school day and get as much experience as possible. I'll be working with students in the morning with reading, writing, and we will discus our play together. I must say this has been the highlight of my week. I've been blessed with a great teacher and a good bunch of students.
